Server Monitor is used to check the health of any type of server, including Unix/Linux (RSH), Web (URL/NNTP/SNTP), Email (SMTP/POP3/IMAP), Database (MYSQL), Applications (FTP/TELNET/DNS/Window process checking), as well as Network utilities and protocols (PING/TCP/UDP). Server Monitor will submit your targeted testing requests to these servers and if unable to return a proper response, will generate an alarm message sent out by Email, SMS, SMS by HTTP, SysLog, SNMP or Pager. Restored services will also be detected and a resolution message generated.

This software is available in both Pro and Lite versions. The Pro version has a number of additional features such as charting, the ability to selectively route alert messages to different recipients, scheduling and more. You can see all of the details in the Feature Matrix section.

In the upper part of the main window, it shows a list of monitoring services. Current version of Server Monitor supports four type of services, they are Ping, URL, Email and FTP. It can ping to any Unix/Linux server, send HTTP request to web server, connect to any email and FTP server by SMTP/POP3/IMAP/FTP protocols.
When any service do not return a proper response, it will generate alarm message, and send out by email, SMS, SysLog, SNMP v1/2/3 or Pager. These alarm messages will be shown in the lower part of the main window.

With Charts and history logs, it helps you to analyse your servers' access and error behaviour. Also, it can show you the access and error log history.
Besides, You can export the charts by click on the "Export Chart", in order to export charts in BMP image format. Besides, you can export all or partial access and error log under "Access History" and "Error History" to CSV, text or HTML files.
